Our Current Funders
Thanks goes to all our Funders for entrusting us with Community Benefit Funds to deliver and support what we do for the Coalburn Community as well as supporting this building in its sustainability.
Broken Cross Wind Farm Limited has been created as a flow through fund where monies received are distributed to fund our Development Officer salary and to support groups and activities, if funds allow through CMWCS. A report is written on a yearly basis to the developer for approval.
Kennoxhead Wind Farm Limited funding is approved. These approved funds can be spent on four areas to support the building and what it offers to the community, energy efficiency, training and community activities. All funds support community based initiates, identified by customer feedback and work being developed through the Development Officer identifies what is being requested from the Coalburn Community for how this fund is spent. A report is written on a yearly basis to all funders for approval.
Douglas, Glespin & Coalburn Charitable Wind Farm Trust provides a yearly sum to support the running costs of the CMWCS of which is much appreciated.
They also currently fund our Activity Worker. A part time post to enable us to grow as an organisation, increase activities and provide employability for the local area, community groups and projects.
SLC recently supported us with all refurbishment projects. This enables the building to stay sustainable for the community of Coalburn and the surrounding areas. We are also supported through their Connect2 Renewables Employability Initiative.
Vaslan support CMWCS through various funding sources as well as being on hand for additional community group support and governance work.
Multiply Funding has been secured to support Upskilling through Numeracy within the Community for 2024. This is delivered through various outlets and supported by additional partners organised by the Development Officer.
The Integrated Care Fund allows us to deliver the ongoing activities for Mental Health &Wellbeing. Our outcomes for this fund are for people to look after and improve their own health &wellbeing, for us to provide support and signposting where needed through the
activities and groups organised.
Dalquandy Community Fund has supported many projects the Development Officer has been working on with Coalburns community groups from the results of Coalburn's Community Action Plan. It also currently funds an employment opportunity through CMWCS for the Bowling Green.
If anyone has any questions in regards to the above funds, please contact Amanda Davis our Development Officer.
